國內的外商公司並非百分之百的全美語工作環境，且多數與東南亞國家互動較密切，如果員工無暇自我充實，不小心就會寫出一些老美看不懂或不符國際慣例的商用英文。我在教授高階商務英語課程時，會特別花時間導正學生商用書信（含電子郵件）中常犯的錯誤，上多益課如果時間允許，也會順便針對相關題型做補充。在昨晚的多益特訓課程中，就特別針對「簽約」做了完整介紹，在此僅就部份重點與各位同學分享：

1. Sign [動詞] 簽名 → Signature [名詞]
Please sign （your name） here.
= Please put your signature here.
請在這裡簽名。
* " Signature " 是以書寫體簽名，所以字跡多半龍飛鳳舞，通常還會要求簽名者再以印刷體簽一次（Print），以便於確認：
Please print your name here.
= Please write your name here in printed letters.
*Printed letters 印刷字體

Fine print（= Small print）
契約中相關條文的細部說明，通常以較小的字體印刷，務必細讀。

2. Upper case letters（= Capitals）大寫字母
Lower case letters 小寫字母
Please sign your name here in upper case.
= Please sign your name here in capitals.
請用大寫字母在這裡簽名

3. 簽約時主約以外的部份因為條文內容篇幅相當多，簽名通常以 " Initials " 來代替，並不適用於中文，故國內少見此用法：
Initial [名詞] 名字的第一個字母（不含姓）

請問您大名的第一個字母是什麼？

My initials are CCL, which stand for Chih Chien Liu.
